In July 2015, Aertssen Transport drove across all of Europe with a rather exceptional cargo – namely, eight ultramodern RC44 sailboats. They had to go from Marstrand in Sweden to Cascais in Portugal, where the professional international fleet was competing for the World Cup.

Not only was the trip long – as Aertssen Transport travelled some 7000 km – but it was also quite challenging: the RC44 sailboats are made entirely of carbon and therefore had to be transported with extreme care, together with the other materials such as sails and lines. As always, loading proceeded carefully, with custom packaging and lashing. Our services shipped these in 10 containers to Portugal, where the Russian team ‘Nika’ ultimately took home the World Cup. Remarkable performances: both the Russian team’s performance and that of our transport team!
