The biggest windmill park in Belgium, Wind aan de Stroom, will be built on the left bank of the Schelde in Antwerp. The first windmills appeared there in the summer of 2015 when Aertssen Transport brought 15 of them to the site.

This was a considerable challenge, since the placement of the windmills was to sites that were in full operation, and to which the various components could not be pre-delivered. Once the crane had been set up to construct the windmills, their component parts also had to be present - at exactly the agreed moment and at the designated location.

No problem for Aertssen Transport: feasible routes were searched out and found in order to get the trucks - some of them up to 60 m long, weighing 145 tons and nearly 5 m wide - punctually to the location. Once again: outstanding work by our professionals!
